My friend Cheleen had told me about an incredible bike path stretching deep into the Korean countryside that I had to check out, so last weekend I found myself on the train out to a station I had never heard of to see what all the hype is about.
Read MoreAfter putting this trip off for two weeks because my body was just too tired, I woke up at 6am to catch a train to a city I haven’t visited yet, Chuncheon! Chuncheon is famous for being the home of a staggering number of famous writers. This place is book lover heaven!

Read MoreChristmas is upon us, and honestly has been upon us here in Korea since mid-October when everyone started to play Christmas carols and hang wreaths… But now that its December, I feel comfortable getting in the holiday spirit :)

Either way, you’ll probably be looking for small gifts you can bring back to your family and friends, and I hope I can give you a few ideas.
Read MoreOn my second day in Jeju, I headed back to a small island I had been to almost 5 years prior, Udo. This quaint little island is located just a 15 minute ferry ride from the eastern coast of Jeju and is most famous for its gorgeous landscape and, oddly enough, peanuts.
Read MoreAs my boyfriend and I get more and more serious about moving to America, I am more determined than ever to finally do all the things on my Korea bucket list. One of those being: pick tangerines on a farm on Jeju Island!
Read MoreThe last leg of our little Europe adventure was by far the most tourist-y, but charming all the same! We flew from Copenhagen to Amsterdam, took the train into Central Station, and then took the tram to our new neighborhood of Spui. I knew from the first glimpse of one of many bookstores (below) that I would love this area.
Read MoreAfter 36 hours in Oslo, Olivia and I boarded a DFDS Seaways ferry to Copenhagen. The 17 hours ride was not one I will ever repeat, though none of it was the fault of DFDS, just my paranoia.
The ferry was a full-blown cruise ship with duty free mall, rooftop bar, spa and pool, and even a cafe where Olivia and I met the first of a long line of hilarious Danish people.

Read MoreKorea during the autumn months is pure magic. The air is crisp, the trees are bright yellows, oranges, and reds, and you can catch whiffs of sweet potatoes and apples while walking near markets. It's my favorite time of year, and I want to share one of my favorite places to explore just outside of Seoul when the leaves are at their brightest.
Read MoreIn high school, nearly everyone took ceramics as an elective. I, however, decided to take two languages and never got to use a pottery wheel, until about four years after graduating (shudder) and moving to Korea. My boyfriend and I had the opportunity to visit Cheolsu's Pottery Workshop in Itaewon thanks to One More Trip, Seoul Tourism's official site for cultural experiences.
Read MoreBusan is without a doubt one of my favorite cities in all of Korea. It's the second largets city after Seoul, but its beaches and warmer weather gives everyone a laid back feel. It's like comparing New York and San Diego. I love the bustle of the city, but Busan's chill atmosphere and colorful sites can't be beat.
Read MoreAll of Korea has been suffering through a heat wave these past two weeks. Apparently temperatures, especially in the mornings, haven't been this high in a hundred years (lucky us...) So don't mind me hopping from air conditioned building to air conditioned building all weekend long!
