Cold Recipe: Amazing Hand Made Ice Cream in Seoul

All of Korea has been suffering through a heat wave these past two weeks. Apparently temperatures, especially in the mornings, haven't been this high in a hundred years (lucky us...) So don't mind me hopping from air conditioned building to air conditioned building all weekend long!

I used the heat as an excuse to finally get over to Yeonhui-dong to try Cold Recipe, an ice cream parlor offering handmade flavors to die for!

I asked to test the basil because I was intrigued, but fully expected to get the grapefruit sorbet.  My first reaction to basil was, "okay, this is weird," but then suddenly my taste buds said "oh yes!" 

I ended up getting a scoop of it and devoured it as fast as I could. It had the distinct taste of basil, but was super creamy and slightly sweet as well. If you're a fan of more herbal flavors like mint or lavender, give this a try! I'm in love!
