Earlier this month, Yesstyle was kind enough to send me a bunch of new Korean beauty products (all cruelty-free!) and here are my opinions on what I tried out! Get up to 60% off K-Beauty Sale @YesStyle + 10% off using code "YESSTYLE" for your first purchase!
By Wishtrend - Acid-duo 2% Mild Gel Cleanser
This is a new product for me and so far, I’m a fan. At first the bottle wasn’t cooperating and I couldn’t actually get the product out of the pump, but after that was solved the cleanser was really lovely. It is a gentle exfoliator and is great for getting rid of any acne, and for someone like me who had woken up to a nice bundle of period-related acne on her face, I was glad to give this baby a try! It is suggested that you use it 2-3 times a week, and so far my face is feeling smooth and happy. (LINK)
Klairs Supple Preparation Toner
How many of you are sick of hearing me praise this product as one of my favorite skincare finds since, well, ever? All of you? Well plug your ears then because I’m back to remind you that this stuff is good. This toner is hydrating and has kept my skin looking even and healthy for over a year. There is also a unscented version for more sensitive skin types. (LINK)
By Wishtrend Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule
Ampoule is the new trendy word in the skincare world, though to be honest I couldn’t really tell the difference between ampoule and a serum. This particular formula is made for those with sensitive skin and helps “relax” the skin if dealing with acne, scarring, or other blemishes. So far it just leaves my skin super hydrated and I woke up with my skin looking much more awake than usual upon the first 2 nights of using it. (LINK)
heimish - Bulgarian Rose Water Hydrogel Eye Patch
heimish might just be my new favorite brand. I tried their All-Clean Balm a few weeks ago and it honestly changed my life, but more on that in another post! The eye patches are just as incredible. At first I thought that the eye patches were a little wasteful, as I’d have to throw out the patch after but add a little warm water to the patch, mix it up, and bam! You have yourself a rose serum. This two-in-one product is my skin’s new best friend and leaves me smelling so good! Plus my under eyes look brighter, less puffy, and more awake! (LINK)
5. heimish - Artless Glow Base SPF50+ PA+++
I have had my eye on this product for a long time and I’m so glad I was finally about to try it. This makeup base is part sunscreen and part highlighter. It leaves your skin with a healthy and other worldly glow that shows through any foundation or concealer to make you look like you popped right down from heaven! It’s not thick at all and feels like a light moisturizer. (LINK)
6. COSRX - Blemish Cover Cushion SPF47 PA++ - Bright Beige
If you know me, you know I typically don’t wear face make up like foundation or concealer. I wanted to give this cushion a try though because COSRX is known to use great ingredients in their makeup that actually doubles as skincare! I got really lucky with the color (buying online I had to guess which tone was right for me) and it made me look totally airbrushed. It was a little cakey but I think that was mainly my fault for putting it on too thick (the formula is really great coverage so a tiny bit goes a loooong way - be warned!) (LINK)
7. It'S SKIN - Babyface Petit Mascara - #02 Volumne
I’m not too picky about my mascara as long as it doesn’t flake, so this is a great little tube to have on hand. It’s in a container similar to lipgloss but the wand on this mascara means business! Like the foundation, a little of this goes a long way. My lashes were looking long and thick without looking clumpy which is perfect! (LINK)
8. 3 CONCEPT EYES - Maison Kitsune Multi Color Palette (2 Types) - Freezing Step
I’m no pro at using makeup so I typically stick to just mascara and some eyebrow pencil, but if I’m feeling really fancy I’ll try some peach or gold eye shadow. This palette is perfect for peachy skin tones and isn’t overwhelming like some shadows can be. It’s really subtle and just wakes up my eyes a little more! (LINK)
9. 3 CONCEPT EYES - Heart Pot Lip (5 Colors) - Maroon Beige
This color couldn’t be more perfect if it tried. I love the ‘my natural look just a little bit better’ style and this lip product does that for me. The Maroon Beige color is so similar to my lips but just a bit more pigmented to make my lips pop! You apply it with your finger which is a little sticky but once it’s on your lips the stickiness fades. (LINK)
10. Huxley - Cream Anti-Gravity
Huxley’s products have my favorite scent of any skincare brand. Their products all contain prickly pear extract so they have a fresh cactus-like scent. This cream is amazing for keeping out stuff like air pollution and this winter in Seoul it has been a godsend. The air quality has been horrible and with this on my face, I haven’t seen any of the usual redness and acne from the dust. This is a little pricy but it does its job! (LINK)
11. Mediheal - BTS BT21 Face Point Mask Set
You probably know these characters already but in case you don’t, these are 7 characters created by the members of BTS. I tried out the J-Hope/Mang ones and they were really…interesting. I’m not going to say that they did anything really special for my skin, but having a face mask that’s actually just small pieces that you can stick on your face is certainly fun :) (LINK)
